"Does my baby need to be adjusted?" is a common question that we hear in the office. The answer is simple, “yes they do!” Did you know, approximately 65% of neurological development occurs in the child's first year of life?  Birth is not only a physical event for the mother, but it can also cause a lot of physical stress on the baby's spine and nervous system. We recommend that the baby gets a chiropractic exam and checkup as soon as possible after birth. That way we can address any stress, whether physical, chemical, or emotional that is occurring within their nervous system. Common signs of stress that your baby might be demonstrating are back arching, colic, constipation, trouble sleeping, torticollis, feeding and latching issues, and reoccurring ear infections.

The adjustment used on a baby is very gentle and uses light pressure. There is no cracking, twisting, or loud noises that are involved with adjusting your baby. In fact, most babies are very relaxed, happy, or may even sleep through the adjustment! We find the areas in the spine that are putting stress on the body. These are called areas of subluxation. Once corrected the the body may be able to heal and correct itself! Our main job is to ensure that the brain and nervous system are working optimally together as your baby continues to grow, change, and reach every new milestone along the way! Please have your children examined as soon as possible by a chiropractor trained in pediatric adjustments.
